This place was very cool and fun for the family! We decided to go to this ghost town to get some time out of the day. It looked and was cool to learn about! The old buildings inside were old and fun with some interesting stuff to read about!

The General Store also had some cool merch you can get before you leave the ghost town. Get one of their Blue Bunny desserts from the store as well, since they were delicious!

Overall, a fun family friendly place to go in the mountains to get some time out!

St. Elmo' in general is really awesome. The buildings are well preserved and there is a lots to see. The chipmunks are so cute and fun to feed. And only 50 cents for a bag of food! The only down sides were that there is no bathroom or food, which is tough with young kiddos. If you're going, I would suggest going to the bathroom just before you get there and bringing lunch! It is really amazing though and we will be back!

Fun stop. The General Store is fun to go to. I got some cool one of a kind iron cast works for a Christmas present. The drive to here was even better. You wind through forests and a white water rapid river. The air smells so clean and of pine trees, it's wonderful.

Amazing place. Second time here. About 25 mins off the Highway but it’s all about the journey. Amazing deer all the way up. Hot springs at another resort. Town is well preserved and such a very cool feeling. You can feed chipmunks and stroll around free if charge. Quirky. Off the beaten path and VERY COOL!

This place was very unique. The chipmunks were our absolute favorite! The historic vision of this place is clearly still there and it is an interesting experience to see these buildings. Tomorrow things such as this may not be able to exist or could easily fall, so it is a wonderful excursion. The store had some cute as well as old artifacts. Of course they also had a few animal hides. There were beautiful humming birds outside the store and bags of chipmunk food for sale. Enjoy. ?

This is our second time here. The kids, who are now not kids, requested to come back here this year on our colorado vacation. We were here 6, 8 years ago. Their favorite is the chipmunks you can feed! They are also in awe of all the hummingbirds at the general store. St Elmo is a nice place to visit and spend a half day excursion from the surrounding areas whether young or old.

This little ghost town is a great place to go on an adventure and to learn some history of the area. Hidden up in the mountains there is an abandoned town with structures built mostly between 1880-1885. This place is also unique for its gorgeous views of the Aspen when they start to turn colors in the fall. And as a special treat you can sit down at the chipmunk crossing across from the general store and have the little cuties climb all over you. You can buy some sunflower seeds from the general store to feed them or you can bring your own.
