Disregard the illiterate reviews. I needed to pick up a prescription late on a Saturday and the medication was out of stock at my usual pharmacy. They redirected my prescription to this store and it was ready for pickup within 30 mins. The pharmacist reached out to me multiple times to make sure I pickup before they close. Their efficient and timely service saved me.

Disclaimer-this entire experience is at the fault of upper management.
That being said.
Walking into this sad excuse for a Duane Reade truly ruins my day. If you ever want to buy paper towels and have it take 20 minutes this is the store for you. Everything is locked up so you get to wait 10 minutes while the associates ring up customers cause they are understaffed. While you wait, however, you get the pleasure of listening to the PA system say “customer service needed in the household department” 50 times. when you finally do get your item, you’re rewarded with another 15 minute wait on the line. Mr. Duane Reade I hope you have to spend eternity waiting for a store associate to unlock the item you so desperately need. I truly hate you and wish you all the worst. I’ll probably be back tomorrow, unfortunately.

I had a bad experience when I peak some medication from the a person who work in the window dispatching the prescriptions, I asked for my prescription and he tell me to come in 4 hours or maybe tomorrow, the prescription was only antibiotics, the name of the person with the the bad actitud name is Subayer. I had to use this location to drop off my FedEx package because the one I usually use at 100 Wall st. is closed on weekends. Regardless, I walked into the store and asked one of the floor personnel if they could print the return label using the QR code provided by the retailer; I was told they couldn’t. I left the store and started googling the locations nearby that could possibly be open. As I am contemplating going back home with the box, Astrid — one of the supervisors found me outside and told me that if I went back to the store they will print the label for me. Talk about going above and beyond! If I could I would give 100 stars!

I only go to this location because it’s the one nearest to me, but I will say I’m not a fan of this location. The staff have a miserable vibe as if they hate their job and really don’t want to be there. That vibe really shows and their customer service isn’t great because of that. Also, many times the line is really long and there is only one person working the register. So with all of this I really try NOT to go to this location unless I have no other choice.

Went to return items I bought and the lady returning it was giving me attitude about how she hates people, never had to return many items (people make mistakes with their orders sometimes ok) and wants to call off and how she was over it as well as speaking to me in a condescending tone when I ask to confirm return to original form of payment. Terrible customer service at this Walgreen location. Also they are constantly lacking people so if you need to find people to get the items locked, it takes forever. You would have think with such a large area, there be more people but no. I’ve been to other smaller Walgreens and was always easily able to get staffs to help me. I’ve been here multiple times before and never had a experience like this.

Amazing how workers at Duane Reade let people steal, they literally come into the store and grab whatever they want then just walk away. In the meantime Duane Reade jacks up the prices for the rest of the customers to pay for their losses . Shame on you Duane Reade for letting people steal and then the honest customer has to pay for the people who are stealing in your pharmacies. I’ll try my best to not use your pharmacies any more.
