Definitely not the worst movers I've ever hired, but I can't say I was impressed. I booked my move less than a week in advance - so maybe I just didn't get a great team?

I was told they would call to confirm the day before and then I never heard from anyone. I even called that evening and was told they would call me back and still didn't get a call. I honestly wasn't confident they were going to show up.

I was told my move should take 6 hours and it took 10 hours. Which another company that came out to do a walk through and inventory said 7.5 max, so I expected it could be a bit longer but never expected anywhere near that long. And 25 minutes of that was a lunch break that they took and I was charged for anyway.

I was apparently supposed to sign off on a document when they got started that morning, but someone signed my name to it themselves... I discovered that when I received the invoice that night. VERY concerned about that.

We had to make two stops (a storage unit and then my new home) and I had organized everything by what went where, but they mixed up all the boxes and a lot of what was supposed to go to storage ended up at my apartment, so I have had to make trips to take everything to storage myself.

Everything arrived in one piece and ultimately that's what's important, but I don't know that I can recommend them.

This team of 6 movers with 2 trucks were just such a fantastic group. They were prompt, listened to us, worked together as team members collectively and independently to get our move done! Our move was complicated & involved alot strategy yet everything was packed, planned out and delivered without a glitch. Their service reflected integrity, flexibility for our desires, hard work, great attitudes and interest in getting this job done well. The Black Tie Movers pricing and service were excellent! This is a "top drawer" company & we would recommend them over and again to anyone!

Black Tie Moving was impressive from the first call. The response was fast and informative. The estimate was spot on and fair. Anthony and team (moving team) were amazing, detail oriented and very caring about me and my furniture. The concierge feature is top notch. Black Tie took care of everything and made moving easy and tolerable.

AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING!!! We’ve used other “reputable” companies in DFW but no one compares to Black Tie! Competitively priced, Efficient, extremely kind, and careful with your belongings. They’re upbeat attitudes definitely didn’t go unnoticed when moving day is a stressful day as is. We had Roosevelt, Zachariah, and I don’t remember the third gentleman's name unfortunately but they were ALL amazing. Save yourself the trouble of getting multiple quotes and just go with black tie!

exceptional service and very professional. they took great care with all my belongings and were very fast and efficient. they charge hourly rate and they certainly didn’t try to ‘run the clock’ by taking their time. every piece of furniture was wrapped with with padding or plastic wrap to protect from dings and scratches. they assembled beds and put everything where i asked them to put it in the new house. i would highly recommend Black Tie Moving.
